You must complete EGYM onboarding before using the EGYM Smart Strength equipment at the Sixty Forward Center. Schedule your onboarding at Ames Parks & Recreation Community Center, 515 Clark Ave., or by calling 515-239-5350. An EGYM onboarding pass must be purchased for $15 before the onboarding appointment at the Sixty Forward Center. Onboarding will take 20 to 30 minutes.

During your onboarding, an Ames Parks & Recreation trainer will provide you your EGYM wristband and walk you through a strength assessment to find your optimal resistance settings. Your trainer will also set the machines to your proper range of motion. After this initial setup with the trainer, you can start EGYM training on your own.
