Curbside Recycling is Coming!

Ames residents living in single-family homes or multi-family units of four or less will be getting blue, 96-gallon recycling carts. The carts will be dropped off in June, and curbside recycling will begin July 1. Residents will get a schedule for their every-other-week recycling pick-up day, along with information about what is accepted in the carts.

Join City of Ames staff at recycling workshops and participate in a sorting exercise at the Sixty Forward Center. The third recycling workshop will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26. Win prizes for properly separating recycling from trash!
