Widow/Widower Meet-Up
Are you looking to meet others who understand your journey and share a similar experience?
I believe that those of us who have experienced the loss of a spouse can find support in each other’s company by providing an environment to build friendships, share stories, and provide opportunities to do things such as, meet ups for dinners, group volunteering, morning coffees etc. Please join us at the Sixty Forward Center on February 20th, 10:00am to explore how we can support each other and enjoy doing activities together.
If you have questions or are interested in attending, please email Bev at andorfb@aol.com.
Spring Lichen Walk
Lichen Walk: Enjoy a spring walk with retired ISU biologist Jim Colbert as we explore the trails and woods looking for lichens (and any early spring flowers). We will meet at Brookside Park, which is at 1325 6th St., Ames. We will begin our walk from the parking area near the baseball field at 1:30.
Christmas Sing-A-Long
Betty Boccella, longtime resident of Ames, enjoys sharing her love of music with friends and family. If you’d like to join her for a “Meet-Up” at Sixty Forward, she will be on hand Monday, December 23 at 11 AM for a Christmas Sing-a-Long. Stop in and join us to sing, hum along, or just listen to the festive sounds of the season!
