Practice Your Recycling Skills
Ames residents living in single-family homes or multi-family units of four or less will be getting blue, 96-gallon recycling carts. Distribution is starting now and should be complete by Friday, June 12. Curbside recycling will begin July 1. Residents should have received a schedule for their every-other-week recycling pick-up day in a letter from Aspen Waste. Join City of Ames staff at recycling workshops and participate in a sorting exercise at the Sixty Forward Center. This recycling workshop will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2. Go to different stations to learn more about how to recycle and practice separating recycling from trash!
